EVANS, Ga. (March 30, 2007) - The 13th ranked ETSU men's golf team is currently tied with South Carolina-Aiken for seventh place after completing the first round at the Administaff ASU Invitational hosted by Augusta State at the Champions Retreat Golf Club.

Freshman Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) led the Bucs Friday as he shot an even-par-72, and is one of 10 golfers that find themselves tied for 16th. Power is six strokes behind South Carolina's George Bryan IV, who currently leads with his 6-under-66 following the first round.

Other ETSU notables after day one include sophomore Jordan Findlay (Fraserburgh, Scotland), who is right behind Power as he is tied for 27th with his 1-over-73. Top-ranked Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales) and junior Cian McNamara (Limerick, Ireland) are both tied for 38th after posting a 2-over-74. The 74 shot by Davies, marked his highest score since putting up a 75 in his season-opening round, back on Sept. 15 at the Carpet Capital Collegiate.

North Carolina sits atop the team leaderboard after shooting 9-under-par, while Coastal Carolina is second at 6-under, and Tennessee is four off the lead after shooting a 283.
