MACON, Ga. (Feb. 1, 2012) – Following an impressive second place finish at the Sea Best Invitational, ETSU redshirt senior Rhys Enoch (Cornwall, England) was named Atlantic Sun Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
Enoch fired rounds of 77-71-70 to finish at +2 overall, while leading the Bucs to a sixth place finish in the event. His 2-under-par 70 in Tuesday's final round tied for the low round of the day. He finished with six birdies on the day and finished just two shots behind medalist T.J. Vogel of Florida.
His second place finish was the best finish by an ETSU golfer this season and was his best finish since sharing medalist honors at the 2010 NCAA East Regional. Enoch has finished in the top-20 in five of the six tournaments during the 2011-12 season.
This is the third career A-Sun honor for Enoch as he also earned A-Sun Golfer of the Month in September 2008 and October 2009.
Enoch and the Bucs will be back in action on Sunday, February 19 for the opening round of the Puerto Rico Classic.
