ETSU men drop to 15th following second round play at Hall of Fame
Hobson Saturday, March 20, 2004 HUMBLE, Texas (March 20, 2004) - The East Tennessee State men's golf team dropped a couple of spots to finish in 15th place after second round play Saturday in the Hall of Fame Invitational at the Redstone Golf Club.The Bucs (294-304=598 +22) will enter final round play on Sunday 38 strokes back of first-place Arizona, which holds a one-stroke advantage over second-place Texas. Arizona's Chris Nallen has powered the Wildcats so far, firing two rounds of 66 to hold a decisive seven-stroke advantage on the individual leaderboard. For ETSU, junior Jeremy Hobson (Thonotosassa, Fla.) fired an even-par 72 to move into a tie for 38th at 2-over par, along with Buccaneers' freshman Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales). As for the rest of the Bucs, sophomore Noel Kavanagh (Westport, Ireland) finished at 9-over, while junior Cennydd Mills (Cardiff, Wales) and sophomore Andrew Paduch (Johnson City, Tenn.) finished at 10-over-par after the second round. ETSU will wrap up final round play in the Hall of Fame Invitational Sunday.
