            RALEIGH, N.C. (April 9, 2005) - In an abbreviated event that was cut short due to weather issues and scheduling conflicts at the golf course, the East Tennessee State University men's golf team completed second round play Saturday to finish 14^th in the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate hosted by N.C. State at the Devils Ridge Golf Club's Black Course. The tournament's third round was cancelled.

            The Buccaneers, who were led by a 2-under -par showing and tie for 11^th-place by sophomore Rhys Davies (Bridgend, Wales), finished at 15-over as a team. Duke took home the tournament title with a team score of 16-under, besting both ACC rival Wake Forest and Georgia Southern by one stroke. The Eagles' Aron Price captured the individual medalist honors with a score of 14-under 130.

            Along with Davies, other ETSU results of note included freshman Cian McNamara (Limerick, Ireland), who tied for 27th, and freshman Gareth Shaw (Lisburn, Northern Ireland), who tied for 49^th.
