JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 8, 2004) - In its previous six years of play, the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges has hosted some of the best teams and individual players in college golf. This year will not be any different. The 2004-05 event will be played Sept. 11-12 at The Ridges Golf and Country Club, with a practice round scheduled for Sept. 10. ETSU men's golf coach Fred Warren said he is more than pleased with the 15 teams that will compete in this year's tournament. "We have seven teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference, four from the Southeastern Conference, and along with our team, TCU, Kansas and Oklahoma," Warren said. "Teams enjoy coming to The Ridges and playing in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate because it is one of the top events in the country. That challenge will be here again this year." A quick glance at last year's final Golfweek poll shows that once again the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at The Ridges will be stacked with some of the best golf teams in the country. Of the 15-team field, 10 were ranked 31st or better a year ago. In fact, 7 of those 15 teams were ranked in the Top 25 - including No. 2 Clemson.
