WINDERMERE, Fla. (Oct. 27, 2009) - The ETSU men's golf team moved up the standings for the second straight day, ultimately finishing 10th following third and final round action Tuesday in the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational at the Isleworth Country Club.

Facing a 15-team field that included 12 teams ranked in the Top 25 - including six of the country's Top 10 teams - the Bucs overcame a tough first round to bounce back for a solid finish in the second and third round. No. 1-ranked Oklahoma State captured the team championship by five strokes over No. 10 Florida, while No. 5 Stanford finished in third. The Bucs finished ahead of highly-ranked teams such as No. 2 Arizona State, No. 3 Washington and No. 23 Clemson.

Individually, Alabama's Bud Cauley held on for the tournament title after posting a final round 72 to finish at 5-under 211. Cauley bested Stanford's Sihwan Kim by one stroke.

The Bucs were led individually by junior Rhys Enoch (Cornwall, England), who finished tied for 22nd despite posting a discouraging 8-over 80 on the final day. Enoch finished at 9-over 225 for the event. During the third round, ETSU got a strong performance from freshman Garth McGee (Bangor, Northern Ireland), who carded a team-best score of 1-over 73 on the final day.

Other ETSU results included a tie for 39th by both sophomore Devin Komline (Dorset, Vermont) and senior Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland), while sophomore Michael Stewart (Troon, Scotland) finished tied for 50th.
