Pugh, the youngest competitor on either side at 17, was a perfect 3-0 for the event. After earning a big singles win on Saturday, Pugh opened Sunday foursomes with James Byrne as the duo made quick work of Patrick Cantlay and Chris Williams, 5 and 3. Cantlay is currently the world’s number one ranked amateur.

Later in the day, Pugh earned an impressive 2 and 1 victory over the reigning U.S. Amateur champion Kelly Kraft.

In addition, former Buccaneer Michael Stewart also helped Great Britain & Ireland pick up valuable points by teaming with Tom Lewis to halve their match against Jordan Spieth and Patrick Rodgers. Stewart later defeated Rodgers 3 and 2 in singles play.

The Walker Cup is a biennial amateur contest between 10-player teams from Great Britain and Ireland and the United States of America.
