JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 7, 2014) – Following a successful fall season, ETSU junior Adrian Meronk (Wroclaw, Poland) climbed to No. 14 in the latest Golfweek Rankings, which were released on Friday morning.
Meronk, who led the Bucs in all six tournaments this fall, captured a pair of medalist honors and posted five top-10 finishes for the Blue and Gold. Overall, Meronk recorded a stroke average of 70.0 and 14 of his 17 rounds were of par or better this fall.
Meronk began the season with a win at the Inverness Intercollegiate and two weeks later followed that up by earning a share of the title at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate. This week, Meronk tied his lowest collegiate round after firing a 6-under-par 66 in the second round of the Warrior Princeville Invitational and finished the tournament with his best 54-hole collegiate score at 13-under-par 203.
To go with his pair of medalist honors, Meronk also registered four wins over top-25 golfers and 14 over top-50.
Meronk and the Bucs open the spring season on Feb. 22 when ETSU heads to San Juan for the Puerto Rico Classic.
