JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 16, 2015) – ETSU’s Adrian Meronk (Wroclaw, Poland) has continued climbing his way up the World Amateur Golf Rankings as the Buccaneer junior cracked the top-50 in the latest poll, which was released on Monday.
Meronk, who moved into the top-100 back in November, is now ranked 49th in the World Amateur Rankings.
The Buccaneer standout has led ETSU in nine of its 11 tournaments this season, while claiming medalist honors twice and registering eight top-10 finishes. Meronk recorded wins at the Inverness Intercollegiate and the Wolfpack Intercollegiate, and has been ranked as high as 14th in the Golfweek collegiate poll.
Meronk enters this weekend’s Southern Conference Championship with a scoring average of 70.39, while he has posted a score of par or better in 25 of his 31 rounds this season. The lowest round of Meronk’s season came in the second round of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational where he carded a 66 en route to finishing tied for seventh. The 66 was one of nine rounds in the 60s for the Wroclaw, Poland native, while he has also totaled seven eagles and 110 birdies in 2014-15.
