Former Buccaneer standout posts first top-10 finish of the season

GREER, S.C. (May 18, 2015)Seamus Power (Waterford, Ireland) not only came away with his first top-10 finish of the season on Sunday at the BMW Charity Pro-Am, presented by Synnex Corp., but he also won BMW X4. 

Power, who earned his Web.com Tour card back in December, aced the par-3, 217-yard 17th hole on Sunday to win the BMW, while the hole-in-one also earned him a top-10 finish at Greer’s Thornblade Club. The two-time Atlantic Sun Conference champion tied for 10th at 17-under-par 269 (67-65-69-68) for the four-day tournament. 

The BMW Charity Pro-Am marked Power’s ninth tournament of the season, while his previous top finish came at the Chitimacha Louisian Open, where he tied for 23rd. 

Power was a two-time Atlantic Sun Conference champion at ETSU and was named A-Sun Golfer of the Year in 2009. He graduated with honors in accounting in 2010.
