JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 13, 2016) – ETSU’s Adrian Meronk (Wroclaw, Poland) moved into the top-10 in both the World Amateur Golf Ranking and the Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking, which were released on Wednesday.
Meronk is now eighth in the Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking and ninth in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. The Wroclaw, Poland native was previously ninth in the Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking and 11th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
This summer, Meronk – who earned PING and Golfweek All-American honors for the second straight season – also advanced to the semifinals of the 121st British Amateur Championship and helped guide the Europeans to a win at the Palmer Cup.
Meronk’s top-10 ranking is the highest by any Polish Amateur, while it marks the highest ranking by a Buccaneer since Rhys Davies moved to No. 2 in May of 2007.
