CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (Sept. 27, 2008) - A four-goal effort by North Carolina's Brian Shriver proved to be too much, as the ETSU men's soccer team was defeated by the 15th ranked Tar Heels Saturday night at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, N.C., 8-0.
The Tar Heels got on the board early as Shriver scored on a through ball from Cameron Brown in the 7th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, North Carolina added to its lead scoring two more goals in the 57th minute as Shriver earned a hat trick as he netted a cross from Eddie Ababio to make the score 4-0. Ababio followed his assist by netting a goal of his own as he scored on a give and go from Garry Lewis to make the advantage 5-0.
