ROCK HILL, S.C. (September 23, 2011) - The No. 22 ETSU men's soccer team will have to wait until Sunday before taking the field, as its scheduled match at Eagle Field tonight against Winthrop at 7 p.m. has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
Heavy amounts of rain soaked Eagle Field all of Thursday night and Friday morning, and as a result coaches from both sides agreed that it was in the best interest of the student-athletes to cancel the game. No makeup date has been scheduled.
On Sunday, No. 25/23 Furman will visit Summers-Taylor Stadium to take on the ETSU men's soccer team at 4 p.m. Sunday's contest will mark the first time the Buccaneers have squared off against a ranked opponent at home, while also being in the top-25 themselves.
