TAMPA, Fla. (June 18, 2012) – ETSU men’s soccer freshman Emmanuel Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.) recorded a hat trick for the Knoxville Soccer Academy on his way to being named a Super-20 League top performer.
Wilson scored his three goals as part of a 4-0 win against FASA in Super-20 League play, helping his team rise to first place in the South Atlantic Division. The freshman’s hat trick also moved his goal total to five through the squad’s first four games, which leads the team.
“Emmanuel is a talented young man with a bright future in soccer ahead of him,” said Knoxville head coach Josh Scott in a USL release. “His athletic ability and how he applies it to the game is impressive for a young player of his age. On top of that, one of Emmanuel’s great strengths is his ability to be clinical in front of goal while under pressure.”
Wilson and the Knoxville Soccer Academy next face the Northern Virginia Royals on Monday at 7 p.m.
