JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 8, 2007) - The ETSU club soccer team defeated Tri-County Tech 9-1 at the Summers-Taylor Soccer Complex on Saturday.

Freshman John Murphy (Chattanooga, Tenn.), led the Bucs with a hat trick, while freshman Eddie Yah (Johnson City, Tenn.), had two goals of his own. Thomas Scarborough (Kingston, Tenn.), Pourmorteza Mohsen (Johnson City, Tenn.), Aliyu Sugri (LaVergne, Tenn.), and Jorge Diaz (Johnson City, Tenn.), each had a goal for the Bucs.

The first goal of the game came off of a beautiful cross from Scarborough to Mohsen, whose powerful header found the back of the net. Scarborough would collect the second goal of the game for the Bucs on a shot coming from just inside the 18 yard box making the score 2-0.

Tri-County Tech would score a goal in the first half to make the score 2-1, but the Bucs would answer with seven unanswered goals to finish the game.

The Bucs, 1-0, will next take on Hiawasse at the Summers-Taylor Soccer Complex on Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.
