FGCU downs ETSU men's soccer, 3-0
Cade Jones Friday, October 31, 2008 "The result is disappointing to us, as we are trying to solidify a position in the conference tournament," said head coach Scott Calabrese. Early in the game we created a lot of chances, but we are still struggling to find someone to put the ball into the back of the net. That has really hurt us." The game was scoreless much the first half as both team had scoring chances, and just as it looked like it was going to remain scoreless at the half the Eagles got on the board in the 45th minute as Francesco DiStefano scored on a direct free kick to put FGCU up 1-0. In the second half, FGCU added to its lead in the 74th minute as Scott Harrison netted a pass from Brandon Price to increase the Eagle lead to 2-0. Price then put the game out of reach in the 86th minute as he collected a pass from Kevin Ante and beat the ETSU keeper to make the final 3-0.
