JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 22, 2008) - The ETSU men's soccer team will host Mercer Thursday at 4 p.m. at Summers-Taylor Stadium as the Bucs look improve in the Atlantic Sun conference standings.

The Bucs (5-7, 1-4 A-Sun) are coming off of their first ever A-Sun conference win in ETSU history, defeating USC Upstate Sunday on the road 2-1 in overtime. Aaron Schoenfeld (Knoxville, Tenn.) had an outstanding performance last time out, as he had an assist and the game-winning-goal against the Spartans.

Mercer's (1-8-4, 1-3-2 A-Sun) only win on the season came on Oct. 2 when the Bears defeated Florida Gulf Coast, 4-1. Mercer tied Belmont last weekend, 1-1, and lost to Lipscomb, 4-3. Bolade Ogunmade leads the Bears offensively with six goals on the season, including the game-winner against FGCU.

Every fan who brings an old pair of tennis shoes to the game will be admitted for only $1 in correlation with the "Kicks for Bucs" promotion.
