ETSU men's soccer set to face Jacksonville; Lipscomb game time moved to 3 p.m.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2009) - The ETSU men's soccer is set to face Jacksonville on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Ashley Sports Complex in Jacksonville, Fla.

The Bucs (3-7-3, 2-3-1 A-Sun) currently are tied for the fifth spot in the tournament with North Florida after defeating the Ospreys on Friday, 1-0. A win over the Dolphins could put ETSU as high as the third seed in the tournament with the ability to control its own destiny in the final week of Atlantic Sun play. Sophomore Sean Hoek (Newburgh, Ind.) leads the team with three goals, seven points and one game-winner.

ETSU dropped a tough 1-0 game to the Dolphins a year ago as the Bucs gave up the game-winner in the 86th minute to Jacksonville.

The Dolphins (2-9-1, 2-2-1 A-Sun) come into the match with six points in conference after a 1-0 win over USC Upstate on Friday. The Dolphins are led by Stefan Runeman as he has a team-best four goals on the season.

The game time for the match against Lipscomb on next Friday has been moved to 3 p.m.
