JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 7, 2009) - The ETSU men's soccer team is set to head to first place Mercer as the Bucs take on the Bears on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Bear Field in Macon, Ga.

The Bucs (1-4-3, 0-0-1 A-Sun) come into the match looking for their first conference win after taking a school record 33 shots in a draw against USC Upstate this past weekend. ETSU is led by sophomores Sean Hoek (Newburgh, Ind.) and Jaron Westbrook (Round Rock, Texas). Hoek leads the team with two goals, while Westbrook has the lone game-winner for the Bucs.

This is the second meeting between the two teams. Last year, the Bears came from behind to tie the game at 2-all in the 89th minute as the game ended in a draw.

Mercer (3-4-2, 2-0-0 A-Sun) currently sits atop the Atlantic Sun with six points after defeating both Belmont and Lipscomb last weekend. The Bears are led by Ian Cameron who is tied for second in the A-Sun with five goals on the season.
