ETSU men's soccer heads to Music City for key conference weekend

, Tenn. (Oct. 21, 2010) - The ETSU men's soccer team is set to head to Nashville, Tenn. this weekend as the Bucs face Belmont and Lipscomb in Atlantic Sun conference play.
 
The Buccaneers take on the Bruins on Friday at 7:30 p.m. EST before closing out the weekend against the Bisons on Sunday at 3 p.m. EST.
 
ETSU (9-4-0, 4-2-0 A-Sun) won both matches last weekend defeating Jacksonville and UNF 1-0. The Bucs are currently in third place in the Atlantic Sun with 12 points, only three points back of Stetson for the No.1 seed in the A-Sun Tournament.
 
Senior Guilherme Reis (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) leads the Bucs with ten points on the season as he has tallied three goals and four assists. Aaron Schoenfeld (Knoxville, Tenn.) and David Geno (Kingsport, Tenn.) also have netted three goals on the year.
 
The all-time series against Belmont is tied at 1-all, while the Bucs hold a 2-1 advantage in the Lipscomb series after defeating the Bisons twice in 2009.
 
The Bruins (5-8-0, 2-3-0 A-Sun) come into the weekend having won two of their last three including wins over Jacksonville and North Florida. Belmont is led by Brandon Tarr as he ranks in the top 10 in the A-Sun in goals (6), assists (6) and points (18).
 
Lipscomb (7-6-0, 3-2-0 A-Sun) is currently on a three-game win streak having defeated the Dolphins, Ospreys and Bruins. The Bisons' Garret Pettis is tied for second in the A-Sun with six goals.
