JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 18, 2011) -East Tennessee State University head men's soccer coach Scott Calabrese announced Wednesday the addition of nine new players who will join the Buccaneers for 2011. The Bucs will be looking to add further momentum to a program already on the rise after winning the Atlantic Sun tournament championship and securing a berth in the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
"I am extremely happy with the quality of players we are bringing in for next season," said Calabrese. "We have a good blend of domestic and foreign players who will complement our already talented roster. Competition for places in the line-up will be fierce and it's important we continue to progress as a program. We had success last year, but the best teams are able to maintain a consistently high level of success over a number of years and ultimately this is our goal."
The new class of Buccaneers includes players from Tennessee and Texas as well as Ireland, England, Germany, Bermuda, and Brazil.
Below is a breakdown of each recruit.
