ETSU looks to get back on track at Radford

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2013) – The ETSU men’s soccer team is looking to get back on track when it visits Radford Sunday, Sept. 29 at 6:00 p.m. The Buccaneers are in the midst of a two-game loss streak, the program’s first such streak in more than a year.


  • ETSU suffered a narrow double-overtime loss at home to Appalachian State, 2-1, Thursday, Sept. 26.
  • The Buccaneers (2-3-2) had enjoyed a six-game home unbeaten streak prior to falling to Furman and Appalachian State, marking the program’s first two-game loss streak since Sept. 22, 2012.


  • The Highlanders (3-3-1) had their two-game win streak snapped with a 1-0 road loss to No. 23 Elon Wednesday, Sept. 25.
  • Radford knocked off ETSU’s most recent opponent, Appalachian State, 4-2, Sept. 10.
  • The team is paced by Joe Mayer’s five goals and two assists.
