JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 4, 2014) - Redshirt sophomore forward Joao Ramalho (Monte Santo, Brazil) is continuing to receive accolades following his four-goal, seaon-opening weekend in which ETSU defeated William & Mary and VCU.

Just two days after being named Southern Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week, and College Sports Madness National Offensive Player of the Week, Ramalho has been tabbed College Soccer News National Player of the Week, College Soccer 360 Primetime Player of the Week, and Tennessee Sports Writer Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week.

Over the weekend, Ramalho helped the Buccaneers (2-0) defeat William & Mary and VCU in Richmond, Va., two teams that were receiving votes in the NSCAA Top 25 Coaches' Poll. The redshirt sophomore forward scored two goals in each of ETSU's VCU Invitational wins, including the game-winner at VCU.

Like ETSU, William & Mary and VCU clinched berths in the NCAA Tournament in 2013.

This season, Ramalho has emerged as a key two-way threat for ETSU, having scored four of the Bucs' five goals.

ETSU will host Radford Saturday, Sept. 6 at 7:00 p.m., in the Bucs' home opener.
