ETSU hosts fellow SoCon newcomer VMI Tuesday night

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2014) - The ETSU men's soccer team will continue Southern Conference play Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7:00 p.m., as the Buccaneers host VMI inside Summers-Taylor Stadium.

Both ETSU and VMI joined the SoCon this season.

GETTING UP TO SPEED

Redshirt sophomore Joao Ramalho (Monte Santo, Brazil) is pacing the Bucs' (4-5, 0-2) offense, ranking 11th in the nation for goals per game (0.78). Ramalho leads ETSU with 15 points (7G, 1A).

12 other ETSU players have found the scoring column, including redshirt junior Emmanuel Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.) and sophomore William Nordenstrom (Linkoping, Sweden), who have each recorded one goal and one assist on the year.

Senior co-captain Jeremy Saad (Sydney, Australia) leads the Bucs with three assists.

The Keydets (1-8-1, 0-2) will enter Tuesday's contest on a four-match losing streak.

VMI has been held scoreless in each of the past four games.
