LEXINGTON, Va. (Oct. 20, 2014) - Following an unbeaten week of SoCon play, the ETSU men's soccer team will travel to Lexington, Va., Tuesday, Oct. 21 to take on VMI at 4:00 p.m.

GETTING UP TO SPEED

The Buccaneers (6-6-1, 2-3-1) went unbeaten in SoCon play last week, defeating Furman, 1-0, and tying Wofford, 3-3.

Redshirt sophomore Joao Ramalho (Monte Santo, Brazil) scored a goal in each of ETSU's last two games. Ramalho, who ranks 11th in the nation for goals per game (0.69), is pacing the Bucs' offense with 20 points (9G, 2A).

In the Bucs' 3-3 draw versus Wofford Saturday, Oct. 18, three players found the back of the net (Ramalho, Wojas, Austin).

Warren Austin's (Kingsport, Tenn.) 81st-minute, game-tying goal came just 46 seconds after Wofford's go-ahead goal.

Wofford entered Saturday's match leading the SoCon standings and ranking in the nation's Top 10 for goals, assists, and points.

13 other ETSU players have found the scoring column, including sophomore William Nordenstrom (Linkoping, Sweden) and senior Anthony Wojas (Auxuerre, France).

Nordenstrom and Wojas each have recorded five points on the season, tied for second most on the team behind Ramalho.

Senior co-captain Jeremy Saad (Sydney, Australia) and Nordenstrom lead the Bucs with three assists each.
