Johnson City, Tenn. (March 17, 2016) – Head coach Bo Oshoniyi and the ETSU men’s soccer coaching staff announced Thursday morning their 2016 spring soccer schedule which includes eight matches on five days from late March to late April and is highlighted by hosting Louisville and Radford and traveling to Virginia Tech.
The Bucs start their spring schedule on March 19 by hosting a doubleheader with UNC Asheville at 5 p.m. at Summers-Taylor Stadium followed by Tusculum at 7 p.m. The Blue and Gold then welcome Mars Hill to play their third match of the schedule at 6 p.m. on March 24.
ETSU will play their second-ever alumni game where past and current players will clash at Summers-Taylor on April 2 at 9 a.m., and the team will follow by playing a second game against the Highlanders of Radford at 6 p.m. that night.
On April 9, ACC-foe Louisville will travel to Johnson City to square off against ETSU at 1 p.m. The Cardinals went 7-9-3 this fall but had strong outings as they defeated #19 Boston College and tied #22 NC State during the regular season. Milligan will travel up the street to complete the doubleheader on April 9 at Summers-Taylor.
The final match of the spring schedule will conclude in Blacksburg, Va. to play against Virginia Tech. The Bucs and Hokies have met the past two seasons in exhibition matches prior to the fall schedule. ETSU won the pair of games 2-1 and 1-0.
