JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 24, 2016) – In its final home match of the 2016 season, the ETSU men’s soccer team looks to remain undefeated at home and to pick up its tenth win of the season on Tuesday night at Summers-Taylor Stadium versus UNCG.

The Bucs played a tough Furman team at home on Saturday in which the game ended in a scoreless tie for the second time of the season between the two teams. ETSU out-shot the Paladins at home and had multiple chances to net the go-ahead goal, but the Furman defense stayed strong to preserve the tie.

On the defensive side, Jonny Sutherland (Chester, U.K.) has totaled the 29th-most goalie minutes played with 1427 minutes and is 60th with a 0.95 goals against average, which is the best in the SoCon. The sophomore goalkeeper picked up his seventh shutout of the season in the scoreless tie with Furman and now has 12 career shutouts.

In the last five matches, ETSU has gone 4-0-1 including going 2-0-1 on its home turf. In the five-game span, ETSU has out-scored the opposition, 14-5. Of the 14 goals scored in the stretch for the Bucs, seven different players have netted at least one goal with Ekern leading the way with seven.
