The following is Athletic Director Scott Carter’s statement following the announcement by ETSU men’s soccer head coach Bo Oshoniyi that he will be leaving the program for the same position at Dartmouth.

“We want to thank Coach Bo Oshoniyi for his work in leading our men’s soccer program to multiple program firsts during this four years here at ETSU. The team’s win over No. 1 North Carolina, a Southern Conference regular season championship and the program’s first-ever, at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2016 are just some of his accomplishments. Even more impressive were his efforts to develop well-rounded student-athletes that set high standards on the field, in the classroom and throughout the community. While we are sad to see Coach Bo and his family move on, we wish them great success in the future at Dartmouth.

For our student-athletes and fans, we will begin our search for a new head coach immediately. Our goal will be to find the best possible leader for our program. Someone that can continue to build on the standard of excellence and championship tradition that we have built here at ETSU.”
