In singles action, play was suspended early because Collegiate tennis rules dictate a neutral site match can be halted once a team clinches its fourth victory in a seven-point scoring system. The three points came from Felix Insaurralde defeating Henrique Viana, 6-3, 6-3, Enrique Olivares defeating Ricardo Barone, 6-1, 6-3, and Lisandro Picardo defeating Nick Rose, 7-6 (5), 6-3.
