Johnson City, Tenn. (March 25, 2002) - The 53rd-ranked East Tennessee State's men's tennis team (6-5, 2-0 SoCon) takes on #70 UNC Greensboro (12-2, 5-0 SoCon) in a big Southern Conference match up Tuesday, March 26th in Johnson City, Tenn. at 2:30 p.m. at the ETSU Tennis Center. The last time these two teams met was in Charleston, S.C. in the semifinals of the 2001 Southern Conference Men's Tennis Championships. The #3-seed ETSU defeated #2-seed UNC Greensboro 4-2 to advance to the championship game to take on Furman. This year both teams are nationally ranked and undefeated in the conference. The Spartans are coming off a 7-0 conference win over VMI. Over the weekend, the Bucs defeated Tennessee Tech 5-2 and lost to Charleston Southern, 3-4. The Bucs and Spartans play at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the ETSU Tennis Center.
