CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (September 30, 2006) - Lisandro Picardo (Mar del Plata, Argentina) and Felix Insaurralde (Asuncion, Paraguay) claimed the Flight A doubles title Sunday at the UNC Invitational.

Picardo and Insaurralde defeated Ionut Hurdoc and Rendek Pivanka of South Carolina State, 8-5. It was the second doubles title the duo claimed, the first coming at the Southern Intercollegiate.

In singles action, Picardo defeated North Carolina's Chris Kearney, 6-3, 7-6 to garner a third place finish in Flight A-1 singles.

Freshman Daniel Isaza (Medellin, Colombia) cruised to an easy victory in Flight B-2 consolation, defeating Michael Sommer of Richmond, 6-2, 6-0, while Insaurralde fell to Ionut Hurdoc of South Carolina State, 6-1, 6-4 in Flight A-2 consolation.

The Bucs will be back in action October 13-15 as they split up to compete in two separate tournaments. One group will travel to Knoxville to participate in the Volunteer Invitational while another group will head to South Carolina to compete in the USC Invitational.
