Olivares and Serrano fall at ITA Mideast Regional Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (Oct. 20, 2007) - The doubles tandem of Enrique Olivares (Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) and Sebastian Serrano (Cartagena, Colombia) fell in the quarterfinals of the ITA Mideast Regional Championships on Saturday.

 

In the Round of 16, Olivares and Serrano defeated Emil Lindgren and Sebastian Ripoll of Virginia Commonwealth in a tight 9-8(5) match before falling to Virginia's Michael Shabaz and Sanam Singh in the quarterfinals after another tight match, 9-8(4).

 

The Bucs will return to action on Nov. 1 as they Bucs will travel to compete in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships hosted by the Ohio State University. For all ETSU men's tennis action visit www.ETSUBucs.com.
