Men's tennis has solid day at Duke Fab Four Invite

, N.C. (Sept. 18, 2010) - The ETSU men's tennis team picked up some wins at the Duke Fab Four Invite, on Saturday afternoon at the Cary Tennis Park.
 
In doubles play, the ETSU duo of Grega Teraz (Mojstrana, Slovenia) and Roger Ordeig (Gurb, Spain) advanced to the finals of the section C doubles bracket. The team finished second in the section after falling to Jared Pinsky and Fred Saba of Duke, 8-5.
 
Jesus Bandres (Caracas, Venezuela) and Jorge Varon (Valencia, Venezuela) finished in third place in section B doubles after defeating Dave Thomson and Rafael Perez of N.C. State, 8-3. Bandres also earned a singles victory as he knocked off Alejandro Calligari of Louisville, 7-5, 6-4. Varon defeated Trey Chatman of N.C. Central 6-3, 6-3.
 
The final round of singles will take place on Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m.
