JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 2, 2011) - Fresh off earning dual Atlantic Sun Tournament titles, the ETSU men’s and women’s tennis teams and the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced that the university is set to host a Selection Show party for the Bucs starting at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon inside the Humphreys Center.

The Humphrey Center is located on the second level of the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center. Fans can access the entrance by walking up the ramp on the west side of the Mini Dome.

ETSU invites all fans and media to take part in the celebration. NCAA.com will broadcast the announcement of the field via live streaming video beginning with the women’s selection show at 5 p.m. The men’s selection show will follow at 5:30 p.m.

The women’s team won its third Atlantic Sun Tournament title and first since 2009.
ETSU (15-6) finished the regular season with nine consecutive victories to earn the A-Sun regular season and tournament title. The A-Sun Championship was the first for the women’s team under Director of Tennis Yaser Zaatini.

The men’s team earned its unprecedented fifth straight Atlantic Sun Tournament title and nine ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Bucs (17-6) finished the regular season with an eight-match winning streak and currently rank No. 55 in the country according to the new Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll released on Monday afternoon.

Last season, the Bucs earned a trip to the Knoxville Regional for the second straight season. They defeated No. 32 Alabama in the opening round for their second ever NCAA Tournament victory, before falling to top-seeded and eventual national runner-up Tennessee in the second-round.

The Lady Bucs also participated in the Knoxville Regional in their last NCAA appearance in 2009. The team eventually fell to Tennessee in the opening round of the tournament.
