JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 31, 2011)
- After posting a season-best 14 runs last time out, the ETSU baseball team is set to host Florida Gulf Coast in a three-game series starting Friday at 7:05 p.m. at Cardinal Park.

The Bucs and Eagles are slated to play game two Saturday at 2:05 p.m., while the series finale is set for 12:05 p.m.

The Buccaneers (14-7, 6-4 A-Sun) dropped two of three games to Stetson last weekend as the Bucs ended a three-game slump with a 14-6 win over the Hatters. ETSU ranks first in the conference in slugging .507 and second in home runs with 33. Junior Dylan Pratt (Johnson City, Tenn.) leads the team with eight home runs and 32 RBI.

ETSU is 1-9 all-time against FGCU with the only win coming in last year's Atlantic Sun tournament as the Bucs knocked the Eagles from the tournament with a 12-10 win.

The Eagles (13-13, 7-5 A-Sun) come into the series having lost four of their last five contests including a 13-2 loss to Miami in a mid-week contest. FGCU is led by senior Zach Maxfield as he is hitting a team-best .365 with five home runs and 29 RBI.

Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to park on Friday as it will be April Drools Day at Cardinal Park, while fans who are dressed like a Buccaneer will receive admission for $1 to the Sunday game.
