Bucs wrap up play in Southern Intercollegiate Championships

ATHENS, Ga. (Sept. 16, 2013) – The ETSU men’s tennis team wrapped up play in the Southern Intercollegiate Championships Monday as its pair of doubles teams fell in the Division I flight semifinals.

The doubles duo of David Biosca and Roger Ordeig narrowly lost to the eventual flight champions, Hernus Pieters and Ben Wagland of Georgia, in a tiebreaker, 8-7 (5).

In the other Division I doubles flight semifinal match, ETSU’s Diego Nunez and Rogerio Ribeiro fell to Gonzales Austin and Ryan Lipman of Vanderbilt.

ETSU will be back in action this coming weekend when it competes in the UVa Ranked Plus One Invitational, beginning Friday, Sept. 20 and ending Sunday, Sept. 22.

Gonzales/Lipman (Vanderbilt) def. Nunez/Ribeiro (ETSU), 8-1
