CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va./CARY, N.C. (Sept. 18, 2015) – The East Tennessee State University men’s tennis team had a successful Friday at both the UVA Ranked 1 +1 as well as Duke’s James Bonk Invite. Three of the four players advanced in their respective tournaments and all four were a part of at least one victory.

The highlight of the day when the doubles team of David Biosca (Sant Fruitos de Bage, Spain) and Rogerio Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) knocked off the No. 5 ranked team in the country in Seraphin and Mansouri of Wake Forest, 8-6.

“So proud of the victory,” said ETSU head coach Yaser Zaatini. “Although its only one win it puts in perspective how competitive our boys are. It takes a bag full of hard work to be able to get one like this. I hope we keep playing hard and the results will follow.”
