Men’s Tennis posts a 2-1 record Sunday

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va./CARY, N.C. (Sept. 20, 2015) – Senior Rogerio Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and sophomore Robert Herrera (Barcelona, Spain) picked up wins Sunday at the UVA Ranked 1+1 and Duke’s James Bonk Invitational, respectively. Overall, the East Tennessee State University men’s tennis team finished the day with a 2-1 record.

Ribeiro picked up a win over Miami’s Max Andrews: 7-6 (8) and 6-2, while Herrera knocked off Louisville’s Sean Donohue: 6-2 and 7-5. In ETSU’s lone loss Sunday, Donohue’s teammate, Alex Gormet, knocked off ETSU’s Diego Nunez (Monterrey, Mexico) by scores of 7-6 (0) and 6-2.

The Bucs will return to action in two weeks when they compete in the ITA All-American Championships Oct. 3-8.
