It is the first ever NCAA doubles victory by an ETSU doubles duo

TULSA, Okla. (May 26, 2016) – The duo of David Biosca (Sant Fruitos De Bage, Spain) and Rogerio Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil) made some history Thursday evening in the opening round of the NCAA Doubles Championship as they defeated New Mexico’s Hayden Sabatka and Bart Van Leijsen by scores of 6-4, 6-4 to pick up the program’s first ever NCAA doubles tournament victory.

“Milestone win for the Bucs,” said ETSU Head Coach Yaser Zaatini. “First NCAA Tournament doubles win in the history of the program. Just amazing how these boys competed. We were able to beat a solid New Mexico tandem. After a tough match yesterday we were fired up for today.
