ITA announces 2018 Scholar-Athletes

TEMPE, Ariz. (July 25, 2018) – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2018 All-Academic teams and Scholar-Athletes. In all, 735 teams and 4,328 student-athletes across all five divisions of college tennis were honored.

Individually, David Gonzalez (Barcelona, Spain), Juan Lugo (Maracay, Venezuela), and Chris Mikrovas (Athens, Greece) were named Scholar Athletes with a GPA. Of 3.5 or above for the academic year.

Gonzalez will be a senior in the fall and finished this past year with a 3.783 GPA as a marketing management major. Lugo will be a junior in the fall and finished this past year with a 3.617 GPA as a pre-business economics major. Lastly, Mikrovas will be a redshirt sophomore in the fall and finished this past year with a 3.853 GPA as a pre-business management major.
