Track and field competes at Mountaineer Winter Invitational

BOONE, N.C. (Jan. 28, 2005) - A small contingent of Buccaneers traveled across the mountains to compete at the Mountaineer Winter Invitational in Boone, N.C.

ETSU's Michael Wright (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Nathan Strickland (Morganton, N.C.), and Adan Blevins (Greeneville, Tenn.) took part in the evening's events and gained further experience to carry with them in the season ahead.

Wright placed 10th in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.25, while Strickland and Blevins finished sixth (12.74m) and ninth (12.52m), respectively, in the triple jump.

Track and field continues indoor competition tomorrow in Lexington, Ky. at the Rod McMcCravy Memorial meet.
