GREENSBORO, N.C. (May 29, 2010) - Needing to post a top-12 time in the quarterfinals of the 110m hurdles, junior Mike James (Palm Bay, Fla.) came up short and saw his season come to an end Saturday evening at the NCAA East Regional, located from the Irwin Belk Track Complex.

James, who advanced to the quarters after finishing second in his heat Friday, placed 20th overall with a time of 14.11.

"Michael competed very strong over these last two days and this experience has helped him mature tremendously," said associate head coach Michelle Byrne. "He posted the third fastest time of his career today, so it shows he's knocking on the door of reaching the next level. Hopefully Michael uses this experience to his advantage and reaches nationals as a senior."
