MACON, Ga. (March 31, 2010) - After setting facility records this past weekend at the Catamount Classic in Cullowhee, N.C., junior track standouts Mike James (Palm Bay, Fla.) and Jasmine Ingram (Frederick, Md.) were rewarded with Atlantic Sun Athlete of the Week honors, announced the league office on Wednesday.

Ironically, one Buccaneer record fell but a new one was set in the women's 400m, as Ingram clocked in at 54.50 - breaking the track facility record which was formerly held by ETSU standout Nicola Cornish (54.59 at 2005 SoCon Championships). Ingram's time was the top finisher out of 17-athletes on Saturday, and her mark also places her 19th in the country.

Meanwhile, James was also busy setting a new facility record on Saturday afternoon at the Catamount Classic, hosted by Western Carolina. As his teammate Jasmine Ingram was breaking records on the women's side, James was doing the same in the 110m hurdles. James flew his way to the title and set a facility record - finishing with a time of 14-seconds. James' time not only broke Appalachian State's Charles Derrickson's mark of 14.25 (set in 2007), but it also puts him 12th in the country on the performance lists.

Both James and Ingram will be in action this weekend when they compete in the Florida Relays in Gainesville.
