JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 28, 2011) - A school record and two personal bests earned Jasmine Ingram (Frederick, Md.) and Robert Purcell (Raeford, N.C.) this week's Atlantic Sun Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards.

Ingram set a new school record with a lifetime-best 54.15 in the 400-meter dash last weekend at the Charlotte Invite, winning the event to lead the women's team.  The criminal justice major added a fifth-place finish in the 200 at 24.61.

Purcell set two personal bests in Charlotte, taking two top-five finishes in sprints, a second-place 48.13 in the 400 and a fifth-place 21.65 in the 200.

Ingram, Purcell and the sprinters remain in Johnson City this weekend to train while the field athletes head to Radford, Va., for the Radford Invite, as Assistant Coach Eli Sunquist said the Liberty Twilight originally set for tonight was pushed back one week.
