JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 21, 2014) – On Friday and Saturday, the ETSU track & field program is holding the inaugural Blue & Gold Intrasquad Track and Field Indoor Meet inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletics Center.
The event will feature competition between the Blue Team and Gold Team and will consist of both field and running events.
“With Thanksgiving break and Winter break approaching, we are excited to see where we are as a team,” said ETSU Director of Track & Field George Watts. “This is a fun event for our student-athletes to ease them into competitive form for the upcoming season. We are going to have some fun and let our hair down. This is the first step heading toward the upcoming indoor season.”
Competition will begin on Friday with the men’s high jump and the women’s mile run, and will end with the men’s 300 meter. Action will pick back up on Saturday with the pole vault and the meet will conclude with the men’s 4x400 meter.
ETSU’s indoor track & field season will begin with the ETSU Track & Field Invitational inside the ETSU/MSHA Athletics Center on Jan. 16 & 17. Learn more about the meet here. Click here for the Invitational’s complete schedule.
