GAINESVILLE, Fla. and High Point, N.C. (April 2, 2015) – In split-squad competition, the ETSU track & field program will compete this weekend, April 3 – 4, at both the 2015 Pepsi Florida Relays at James G. Pressly Stadium at Percy Beard Track, and the seventh-annual HPU VertKlasse Meeting at Vert Track, Soccer & Lacrosse Stadium.
On Friday in Gainesville, senior Dede Edgecombe (Spartanburg, S.C.) will compete in the women’s 100-meter hurdles at 12:15 p.m., junior sprinter Keturah Williams (Alpharetta, Ga.) in the women’s 100-meter dash at 12:35, and junior jumper Ashley Kessler (Knoxville, Tenn.) in the women’s pole vault at 3 p.m.
Nearly twenty ETSU student-athletes will be in action Friday and Saturday at High Point. Activities on Friday at the VertKlasse Meeting will stretch from noon to 7:30 p.m., ending with the 10000-meter run. The next day, competition will pick back up with the 800-meter run and the men’s hammer at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and conclude with the 4x400-meter relay at 5:10 p.m. Click here for the complete meet schedule.
