ETSU Track & Field set to make first road trip of season

Following a week off, the Bucs return to action this weekend

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 28, 2016) – Following a week off from competition, the ETSU Track & Field program will be back in action this weekend at the Camel City Classic in Winston Salem, N.C. The event will be held at the JDL Fast Track and will feature over 40 events over Jan. 29-30.

The Bucs have participated in two meets so far this season both of which came at the mini dome. In total, ETSU has won three events so far in 2016 to go along with several top 10 finishes. Leading the way on the men’s side so far has been Simeon Roberts (Greeneville, Tenn.) who has won a pair of events and turned in a top five finish in another. Meanwhile on the women’s side, freshman Kiana Davis (Ooltewah, Tenn.) has notched a pair of top five finishes in 2016.

The events are scheduled to begin 1 p.m. Friday and will conclude around 3:50 p.m. Saturday. Admission to Friday’s events is $6 for adults, $4 for students and kids 12 and under are free, while Saturday’s admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and kids 12 and under are free.
