Johnson City, Tenn. - Senior Alice Arnold tallied 26 kills while classmate Natalie Barrett registered 23 kills to lead the Bucs in a five-game thriller over UNC Asheville at ETSU's Brooks Gym.
The Bucs battled back twice from being down one game to capture the 11-15, 15-9, 13-15, 15-2, 15-7 victory over the Bulldogs. It was ETSU's seventh consecutive win.
The ETSU offense was engineered by sophomore Carey Cavanaugh who finished with game-highs in assists (69) and digs (21). Sophomore Amber Ciskowksi notched 17 kills and 18 digs for the Bucs.
UNC Asheville was led by senior Chandra Hicks with a team-high 23 kills. Sophomore Jessica Beal tallied 46 assists and 14 digs.
With the win ETSU improves to 19-8 overall. UNC Asheville falls to 15-14.
ETSU returns to action on Friday, November 12 when they face Southern Conference rival UNC Greensboro. Game time is 7 p.m. in Greensboro, N.C.
