McCarley Shoots 74, Buccaneers Remain in Sixth

Las Croabas, Puerto Rico (November 2, 2002) - Robin McCarley (Johnson City, Tenn.) shot a 74 to lead the East Tennessee State women's golf team to a sixth place finish in day two of the Pat Bradley Championship in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico. McCarley's 74 placed the ETSU sophomore in fifth place individually. Ashley Barton (Seffner, Fla.) shot a 79 to place her in a tie for 17th. Alyssa Few (London, Ontario) shot a 77, a ten shot improvement over yesterdays round. The Buccaneers, who were tied for sixth with host Florida International after day one, pulled ahead of the Golden Panthers to remain in sixth place alone. ETSU shot a 312 today after a shooting a team 322 yesterday. The tournament will conclude on Sunday Nov. 3 with a shotgun start to go off at 8 a.m. South Florida remains in the lead followed by Illinois who shot a school record 291 to move from fourth to second place. 1.
