SPARTANBURG, SC (Mar. 26, 2003) — East Tennessee State's men's tennis doubles tandem of Diego Iglesias and Moises Serrano have been named the TIAA-CREF Southern Conference Student Athletes of the Week. The duo currently holds a perfect 4-0 record in the second position (doubles) overall with a perfect 2-0 record in conference play. Iglesias and Serrano started off the week defeating The Citadel's David Lara and Warren Woolfolk, 8-5, on Friday, March 21. The following day, they defeated College of Charleston's Eyal Omid and Liran Kling, 8-5. Iglesias, a junior from Mar del Plata, Argentina, maintains a 3.93 GPA overall while majoring in business management. A sophomore physics major from Bucaramanga, Columbia, Serrano holds a 3.91 GPA.
